Course Description
Course Description: This course takes care of some of the most essential components involved in hunting and finding jobs. It includes the skills involved in researching job market, applying for a job, CV writing and interview. In short, the course offers a solid background to job applicants.
Course Objectives: After the completion of the course, the students will be able to:
- research job market and find out the best position for them,
- prepare cover letters and resumes,
- appear in interview effectively, and
- negotiate the terms and conditions of service

Unit I: Researching the market
Preparing a CV
Unit II: Writing a cover letter
Answering interview questions
Unit III: Answering competency based interview questions
Turning negatives into positives
Unit IV: Telephone interviews
Negotiating terms and conditions of service
Teaching Method: lectures, class-room discussions, writing documents and listening to CD Roms.
Evaluation: presentation on selected topic 40%
Document preparation 45%
Class-room participation 15 %
