Respiration: cutaneous and pulmonary, branchial in larval stage. Circulation: closed, incomplete, heart with three chambers without interventricular septum.

Nitrogen waste: urea. Thermal control: heterothermic. Types of reproduction: sexual, water dependant, external fecundation and aquatic larval stage.
