Hypertension is a disease in which the arterial blood pressure, during systole or during diastole, is abnormally high. Hypertension, or high blood pressure, is a condition that must be diagnosed and treated since it produces irreversible injuries in arteries and, later, it causes other severe diseases in organs like the heart, brain, kidneys, retina, etc.
