Sociology is the scientific study of human society. It studies about social structure, social institution, social processes, social relationship and social change.

Anthropology is the scientific study of man, especially his origin, development, races, customs and beliefs.

Economics has been defined as the study of mankind in the ordinary business of life, but more properly, it is taken as the science of wealth in its three phases of production, distribution, and consumption.

History deals with particular historical occurrences. It is the study of the human past as it is described in the written documents left by human beings.

Population studies are broadly defined as the scientific study of human population. Major areas studied include broad population dynamics, fertility and family dynamics, health, aging, and mortality, and human capital.

Political science deals with social groups organized under the sovereignty of the state. This may also be studied as a social institution.
